10:00 a.m.– Annual 4th of July Parade–The parade will begin on Hwy 257 at the former Otwell Elementary and move throughout the town. There are a great deal of entries each year…and lots of good candy! Come on out and bring your lawn chairs. Parade will be led by our Grand Marshals and honored guests from our National and District Ruritan.

11:00 a.m.–BARBEQUE RIB AND CHICKEN DINNERS–EAT IN THE DINING ROOM OR CARRY-OUT. PRICES OF THE MEALS: $12 FOR EITHER BBQ RIBS OR 1/2 BBQ CHICKEN. THE MEAL WILL ALSO INCLUDE POTATO SALAD, SLAW, AND BAKED BEANS.
CARRY-OUTS ARE AVAILABLE LOCATED IN THE SENIOR CITIZEN ACTIVITY ROOM (WATCH FOR THE SIGNS). IF YOU PREFER ONLY MEAT, YOU CAN GET 1/2 BBQ CHICKEN; $12 1/2 SLAB RIBS; $20 WHOLE SLAB RIBS

1:00 p.m.–Firecracker Baby Contest–Multiple contest for the little ones, ages newborn to 5 years. In the air-conditioned community center gymnasium. $2 gate fee. Under 6 free admission. Entry fee for first category $5; $1 for extra categories.

1:00 p.m.–Garden Tractor Pull (tractor pull arena area)– Come watch the “small but mighty” tractors pull at this entertaining event. Free admission.

2:00 p.m.–Children’s Pedal Pull (outside on the grounds). Little ones compete on pedal tractors for bragging rights and hardware. No entry fee.
2:30 p.m.–Community Gospel Sing in Gym featuring Charley Ryan. Come in , cool off, and join the sing! Free admission.
7:00 p.m.–Local Truck and Tractor Pull/OVPA PULL–(gates open at 4:30 p.m.) Arena area. $8 adults/$5 ages 6-12/ under 6 free.
